We celebrated Zambian Independence and United Nations Day on October 22nd this year in Lusaka. We started the day in grade one with special activities and special guests. The children made their own Nsima and relish lunch with the help of our Zambian parents and teaching assistants. Then they danced and drummed and listened to African stories told by a drummer from a local drum group. The day ended with a parade of nations and an international food fair. We paraded with our home countries. There were over 50 countries represented!
